Howard S. Borenstein specializes in Tax Controversy, Estate Planning and Tax Planning.
Mr. Borenstein represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, the Franchise Tax Board, the State Board of Equalization, the Employment Development Department and the Property Tax Assessor.
Mr. Borenstein is a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law as certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Attorneys are certified through a process which includes approved educational programs, completion of tasks in the specialty area, a written exam and peer review. Certification is for a five-year period during which time the specialist must continue to meet education, task and peer review requirements.
Mr. Borenstein is also a Certified Public Accountant. As an attorney and CPA, he brings substantial understanding of accounting and taxation principles to each client.
